CheckMyHairstyle (“we”) lets you preview haircuts on a photo of yourself. A face photo is personal, so this page says exactly what we collect, what we do with it and how you remove it.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics: name, email address and Google account ID, when you sign in with Google.
- Photos you upload and the hairstyle previews we generate from them.
- Credit and purchase records: how many credits you have, what you bought, the amount and the payment reference. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
- Basic technical data: request logs kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
How we use it
- To generate the hairstyle previews you ask for, and to show you your past results.
- To keep your credit balance and process purchases.
- To prevent abuse, such as one person claiming many free previews.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not sell your data and we do not use your photos for advertising.
Your photos and AI
To create a preview, your photo is sent to Google's Gemini image model through Google's paid API. Under Google's terms for paid API use, that data is not used to train or improve Google's models. We do not use your photos to train any model either.
Who processes your data for us
- Cloudflare: hosts the website and app, and stores photos and account records.
- Google: sign-in, and generating previews (Gemini API).
- Razorpay: payments.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded selfies are deleted automatically 30 days after upload.
- Generated previews are kept until you delete them, so you can revisit them and share them with your barber.
- Account and purchase records are kept while your account is open, and purchase records as long as tax law requires.
Sharing
Nothing you upload is public. A preview becomes visible to others only if you create a share link for it, and only to people who have that link.
Deleting your data
You can delete all your photos and previews permanently at any time from your account page. To delete your whole account, email hello@checkmyhairstyle.com from the address you signed in with, and we will do it within 30 days.
Cookies and analytics
We use one cookie, to keep you signed in. Our website analytics are cookieless and do not track you across sites.
Children
CheckMyHairstyle is for people aged 18 and over.
Your rights and grievances
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or raise a complaint, by emailing hello@checkmyhairstyle.com. We reply within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
