Classic taper fade: short, neat sides that blend gradually from skin-close at the neckline and temples into slightly longer hair on top, natural finish.
Sides and back: taper fade. Start close (#0.5–#1) at the neckline and above the ears, blend up gradually to #3. Top: leave 1.5–2 inches, scissor-cut and lightly textured. Blend: soft and natural, no hard line. Finish: clean taper at the neckline, natural parting.
It works best on straight, wavy, curly and coily hair. You need about 2 cm (0.8 inches) of hair on top for the barber to cut it. The quickest way to know is to preview a taper fade on your own photo before the cut.
